On July 4th, paramotor pilot Nico Aubert embarked on the first journey of the World Arcs Project, an ambitious initiative aimed at connecting the most distant geographical points of each country. This first stage took him across Portugal from north to south, overcoming challenges and showcasing the capability and endurance of his equipment.
Equipped with a PAP TINOX V2 1500 paramotor powered by a Polini Thor202 engine, Nico took off at dawn from Viana do Castelo. His gear also included two side saddlebags carrying a tent, tools, cameras, batteries, and a solar panel to document every moment of his journey. In total, he covered 800 km in 16 hours and 45 minutes of flight over just two days.
During the journey, Nico encountered adverse weather conditions, but his skill and determination led him to complete the trip successfully. After reaching Sagres, he continued his return journey until making an emergency landing in Sanlúcar de Barrameda.
This adventure not only demonstrated Nico’s capabilities as a pilot but also the reliability of his equipment. The next destination of the World Arcs Project is Italy, where Nico will continue exploring and connecting distant geographical points with his paramotor.
