On December 23rd, 2023, under the vast Spanish skies, this record-breaking pilot achieved the unthinkable, reaching an astounding altitude of over 7,200 meters in a foot-launched tandem flight (PF2 category).
This remarkable feat was accomplished without any specific engine tuning for this extraordinary endeavor. Ramon Morillas, a multiple world champion and record-holder, with Carlos Peña as the daring passenger, flying with a PAP frame TINOX V2 with a foot launch tandem kit.
The journey to these unprecedented altitudes required courage and skill. Morillas shares his experience, stating, “The PAP Tinox 1500 frame played a crucial role in our tandem paramotor altitude world record, providing comfort both during the flight at 7,186 meters and in the successful takeoff, despite the additional weight.,” highlighting its resilience against freezing temperatures and significant atmospheric pressure changes at extreme altitudes.
