The first ever world slalom competition was held From the 9th to the 15th September of 2013 in the french city of Apres sur Buech.
68 pilots from 17 countries met up to defend their colours, under the supervision of an impeccable organisation in a superb landscaped setting.
Finally despite having some difficult weather conditions (3 days of strong wind and some rain) it was possible to validate the championship in the 3 categories . Excellent news as well, was the great participation of PAP pilots from around the world, and the absence of any accidents.
Fred Mallard, from the French team was proclaimed vice world champion after making a flawless championship with his PAP Thor200 PL1, and his ITV Paraglider.
Our young hopeful Nicolas Aubert, at the age of only 15, also part of the French team, ended in 9 position in PF1, and second in the Racing Team category, confirming his good skills in this discipline, he flew with a PAP Thor 200 and the Dudek Snake 18 paraglider.
Emilia Plak proved once again to be the best female pilot flying with a PAP Thor 200 and a paraglider Ozone Slalom.
Ramon Morillas flying with a PAP Moster Vittorazi and a Niviuk paraglider, did well, but on the first day he did not close the time on a task, and this prevented him from being in the Top 10.
Congratulating from PAP to first world champions of this new discipline , Polish pilot Grzegorz Krzyzanowski in PF1 category, and in PL1 category Marcin Krakowiak from Poland .
