We regret to report that we are now no longer in a position to be able to directly supply a number of spare parts for the ROS engine. ((List of parts we are unable to supply )). All other parts are still available.
Almost three years ago we decided to stop using ROS engines due to a number of factors. We hope this letter will explain the reasons behind this difficult decision.
ROS’s informality was becoming damaging to our brand, specifically due to its sales policy. We should clarify at this point that we ordered engines in large numbers from ROS, usually between 25 and 60 units, always paying in advance.
On numerous occasions, without notice they failed to respect their quoted delivery times, sometimes by as much as three weeks. Phone calls and e-mails would go unanswered.
The end result, was that their lax attitude towards delivery times was threatening to damage our hard earned reputation. This, together with the high price of spare parts, prompted us to stop using ROS engines.
After four years of collaboration, and up to 1200 pilots flying worldwide with PAP Paramotors using ROS engines, they stopped supplying us with spare parts, ultimately penalising the customer who relied on this engine.
PXP Paramotors became the new ROS Motor distributor in Spain, and thanks to our good relationship with PXP, we could continue to ensure a good after sales service for our customers with ROS engines. However, sadly PXP is now suffering the same problems previously encountered by PAP.
If PXP sold very few ROS engines this is mainly because this engine is now trailing behind its competitors in the market (finishes, excessive noise and some technical issues). Currently on the market, there are engines that are better in quality and performance, with spare parts more competitively priced, in order to maintain a good after sales service
Unfortunately, as a result of the above circumstances, there will come a time when we are unable to supply the spare parts that are included in the list below. Our stock is still important and as we run out of parts we will remove them from our price list and our online store.
Meanwhile, ROS now has yet another new distributor in Spain and still continues with, in our view, an informal sales policy. Basically, If they do not sell engines to you then they will not sell you spare parts either, even at inflated prices.
WARNING: This new distributor of the ROS brand in Spain is a newly formed company, which is also new to the world of Paramotor manufacture. They have no experience in flying, and without applying any of their own creativity or ideas, have brought to the market an attempted copy of our own machine. A copy which falls somewhat short of a genuine PAP Paramotor.
Spanish manufacturers have always been inspired by our work. This has made us feel proud and I am flattered. But no one has ever had so little shame as this new manufacturer, who copies without many of the details or ideas resulting from our 23 years of experience.
This being clarified, I ask you not to be cheated on, and not to support this project of poor taste.
I reiterate when I say that PAP has 23 years of experience behind it ,and having the support of world-class pilots like Ramon Morillas , Mathieu Rouanet, Emilia Plak, Karen Skinner and Nicolas Aubert, the new star.
Fly PAP fly the Original and do not be fooled!.
That’s all , I wish you all happy flights.
